Practical guidance · examples to adapt · not legal or financial advice
1. Decide if cash partners fit
Start with loyalty if you need repeat-visit rewards. For paid recommendations, Rise and Summit support invited local partners; Spark does not. You supply and review your own partners.
2. Set fixed or percentage commission
Use the two-screen local paid-partner setup. Define eligible paid spend after discount, excluding tax and tips. Add an optional newcomer benefit separately; advanced terms stay collapsed and the full editor remains available.
3. Review and launch
Save a draft, review the terms and use the separate owner-confirmed launch when requirements are met. Draft partner application links are not live enrollment. Add an in-store offer as the next step.
4. Verify local purchases
The partner shares a personal link, with optional QR. Staff submits the paid-purchase claim; authorized finance review creates the eligible commission. Clicks, scans and receipt uploads alone do not.
5. Record real external payment
Review holds and refunds, pay externally, then record actual date and reference. The first lifetime $10,000 real completed payouts is fee-free; above it Rise 2%, Summit 1%. Provider costs are separate and the partner receives full principal. No automatic funding or routed transfer is available.
