Practical guidance · examples to adapt · not legal or financial advice
1. Public business QR
Place this on customer-facing materials to open your branded page and enrollment. It is safe to share publicly, but does not confirm payment or earn points.
2. Personal referral link or QR
An enrolled referrer shares a personal link to attribute the friend. A QR is an alternative. Referral qualification still requires a genuinely new customer’s eligible first paid purchase.
3. Private customer pass
The customer shows this to assigned staff. Scan or type its code to look up the customer’s programs and rewards. Do not print private passes as public marketing materials or include them in emails.
4. Confirm the paid purchase
Check the correct program and location. Take payment in the register. Enter eligible spend before tax and tips for per-dollar points, then confirm the qualifying paid purchase.
5. Redeem once
Check availability and review cost/balance for points. Confirm, then apply the benefit in the register. If the screen says already recorded, do not provide the benefit a second time. Practice creates no records; internet is required.
