Practical guidance · examples to adapt · not legal or financial advice
1. Invite without overpromising
After a good paid visit, explain the actual offer: “Share your personal link; when a new friend completes the qualifying purchase, your stated reward becomes available.” Do not promise rewards for clicks.
2. Share the right link
Use the customer’s personal referral link, not the public business QR. The public QR handles enrollment; the private pass handles staff lookup at the counter.
3. Check the newcomer
The friend must be genuinely new and complete the eligible first paid purchase. Staff apply any optional welcome benefit in the register, then confirm the qualifying purchase.
4. Honor the referrer reward
The referrer’s noncash reward is separate from the friend’s benefit. Staff redeem the eligible reward according to the merchant’s disclosed terms and location scope.
5. Learn from records
Review recorded referrals and customer questions. Results are activity, not proof of incremental revenue. Paid local partners are an optional different cash relationship, not part of this customer reward.
